Who is Rick Nash?

He spent 15 years in the NHL, set every record of this squad, and won 2 Olympic gold medals.

He was a top athlete in the NHL Draft, and became the first big name in Columbus’s history. Then he fled Ohio in the hope of obtaining the Stanley Cup, but he arrived only at the Cup finals with the Rangers.

NHL star was a permanent member of the Canadian national team and amassed a collection of medals at all levels. All this is Rick Nash – one of the coolest power forwards of our time, who retired at 34 years old.

Columbus Blue Jackets record holder

NHL team – Columbus – really wanted to get Rick Nash. So much so that when Philadelphia joined the fight for a talented prospect a couple of days before the draft, Uniforms general manager Doug McLean at the last moment, made a deal with Florida, exchanging the third draft pick for the first one.

The city was immediately covered with posters of a star newcomer, he was compared with the young Brendan Shanahan and Luke Robitaille and saw him as a savior who would raise the club from oblivion.

He was a machine under two meters tall, which could reach breakneck speed and constantly ran into counterattacks. He could push the opponent with his mass. He could beat him with one hand. He scored goals. Rick’s nickname is Flying Cabinet (for a combination of a powerful physique and a hasty style).

In 2002, Columbus selected him with the first number as the most promising young hockey player and immediately signed him to a contract, transferring him to the main team.
Every year this star striker looked weaker, so he left the big sport a few years ago.
